Description

Why choose us?

1) We have the highest quality gear available (Compare our equipment lists)

2) Our chief engineer has been teaching mixing, mastering, and recording at UCLA for over a decade and has mixed singles that were multiplatinum Billboard #1 charting megahits across the world. (Compare our credits)

3) We work very efficiently saving you money. Because of our experience, we can usually do a top mix that takes most engineers days in hours.

$45 an hour book a 4-hour block for $160 and get a free green screen shoot. We'll video you in Hi-Def lip-syncing to one song you recorded/mixed with us and put one backdrop in place of the green screen free. Limit one per customer

We are in the business of making people happy with their art. From beginning to advanced we know your music is very personal to you and we treat it as such. We're not in the business of clock watching. The end product is very important to us.

We happen to have racks and racks of the best gear money can buy. To get the same gear elsewhere would cost you 3 times as much.
Our chief engineer has many multiplatiniums and billboard #1s for mixing.
We are a full-service setup. Custom beat making, recording, mixing, mastering, video production etc
Our chief engineer is also an amazing pianist who studied music in NYC for a decade. He attended a private college on a music performance scholarship. Our house first engineer also won guitarist of the year 2 years. He won an Emmy in 2017.

-Beat making, vocal tracking, video editing $45 an hour. 4 hours for $160

We are set up for social distancing via separate rooms.
We have a large tracking room that is separate from the control room. It’s fully equipped with its own entrance, restroom, bar and fireplace. It has the vocal mic, a grand piano, drum set, bass and guitar.
It has the same speakers as the control room. We’ve been keeping artists in the big tracking room while the engineer stays in the control room.
We keep the studio clean, disinfected and dust-free with regular deep cleanings!. I do have 2 dogs though so if you are allergic or afraid of dogs please don't book.

Autotune specialist
We've tried all of the various autotune softwares and at the advice of respected friends we bought the Autotune ATR1A hardware rack mount and it was well worth it. It gives you perfect autotune in your headphones while recording and sounds way better than any of the the software versions.
That combined with our top vintage tube vocal mics and our Neve 1073 DPX or Avalon 737SP and we get an unbeatable vocal sound.

Whether you use autotune or not you wont get a better vocal sound anywhere!

A lot of studios I've seen put all their money into looking nice but not me. I have nice comfortable rooms that sound great and I've put my money into getting the best gear and microphones money can buy.
I've been a full time mixing engineer in the biggest studios in LA/Hollywood for decades. After opening my own studio i focused on getting all of the gear I loved the most while working in the biggest studios.
I've worked with a lot of top artists and made some big hit records. My mixes have gone multiplatinum several times over and have charted #1 on Billboard several times.

We're set up to record and mix full bands. We have a beautiful pearl drum set, Ampeg bass amp and bass guitars, a Vox AC30 tube guitar amp with several guitars, an upright and grand piano, and 15 keyboards

Video of our chief engineer engineering a Bone Thugs N Harmony session at Ameraycan studios in North Hollywood you see him at 2:35 and 4:35

Rules

Rainman Productions Studio Policy Please take a minute to familiarize yourself with our studio policies. A clear understanding of the policy will make the sessions go more smoothly. Booking We require a %50 deposit to book your first session. The deposit will be applied to your session or refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours before your session time. If your deposit is not received within 48 hours of your session time, your time may be forfeited to another client. Payment Payment is required upon completion of each session. Payment may be made by cash, credit card, Paypal, or direct bank deposit or transfer. Masters Your account must be paid in full before we release your masters to you. Masters are generally provided on CD, DVD or hard drive, but we may send you your files via the web if they are not too large. Billable Items When we are working on your project, this time is billable. This includes when you are present in the studio with the engineer and when you are not. This includes doing requested edits, creating stems, or sending your tracks via the web. Transferring your session files to your hard drive ties up the studio and therefore is also billable time. We will discuss these billable tasks with you prior to doing them. Studio Time If the studio is available we will set up before your start time no charge. Please call or email us a day before your session to determine if an early setup is possible. The clock begins when the engineer starts working with you setting up equipment, getting levels When you indicate you are finished and the equipment is no longer in use the clock stops. (If a master is being burned, the clock continues to run until the master is finished.) we don't charge for clean up. Breaks If during 8 hour session or longer you wish to take a meal break, you may do so off the clock. If you want to work through the break to listen to playback, editing, overdubs, etc., the clock continues to run. If we encounter any technical problem, the clock stops until it's fixed. Starting Time When you book studio time, you are expected to arrive on time and we will be prepared to start on time. We will bill you from the start of your scheduled time regardless of whether you are on time or late. Studio time is billed in quarter hour increments. Ending Time We do our best to be flexible. Sometimes another session is scheduled immediately following yours and most often we allow at least 30 minutes between sessions. If you should require a little more time, we will try to continue and ask the next session appointment if they can wait. However, if this is not acceptable to them, we ask that you be considerate and stop your project and schedule another session. It is always a good idea to estimate the amount of time you will need and schedule accordingly. Open-Ended Time If no one is scheduled after you, such as at the end of the day or on weekends, you may continue until you reach feel your session is complete. A minimum of 2 hours must be scheduled. If you complete your tasks before the 2 hours is up you will still be required to pay for the full 2 hours. Equipment Rental If there is something you need that we do not have available, you may bring it yourself or request we rent it for you from a local equipment rental company. This must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
